Community Council Elections
The NGCC officials have been advised by Fife Council that our community council election process IS to begin.
As current chairperson I would ask and invite individuals and groups all over north Glenrothes to consider applying for membership of a new community council to serve the people in north Glenrothes. Also to consider nominating someone. All that is needed is to be 16 years and over and resident in the north here. There are basically 8--12 evening meetings per year, all to seek environmental improvements here in our own patch. (More info is, of course, on the Facebook page and website.)
Nomination papers and other information can be had from emailing CCelections@fife.gov.uk. And note that the deadline for the submission of nomination papers is by 4.00 p.m. on Thursday 26th October. This is the deadline for a very simple nomination paper. But action is needed now! So I would ask for somewhat urgent action. Any other queries can be dealt with by me.
